  • “ Popped in for lunch on Sunday during the most recent heat wave and had a pleasant experience. While I can’t fathom how the folks were handling it on the patio, I did see the advertising that it’s a dog friendly one, so that’s delightful for paw parents out there! Shrimp appetizer was nice. Would order it again. Grilled cheese burger was ok, but not memorable. I would try something different next time. My dining companion and I shared it and asked for it to be cut in half. Always appreciate the extra step in split plating. Bravo to the service detail! Lily was a wonderful server. Kind and attentive. Don’t forget to show your CAA card for a 10% discount! ”

  • “ Back again after a bit of a break. It was those Bang Bang Shrimp that brought us back. A quick lunch today with Bang Bang, and a French dip with fries to share and a side Caesar salad to even things out. The shrimps just keep getting better, fries and that dill dip are the best.. and a tasty salad for a bit of healthy. They even split the plate for us. Nice! Recommend. Bang Bang shrimp are inimitable. Many try, but these are the best. Also Brussels sprouts. Great menu, very nice staff. Great sharing options. Recommend. Back at State & Main Whitby for amazing Bang Bang Shrimp, Buffalo Chicken Wings, and shared French Dip. Great for lunch or dinner. Cool vibe, great staff. Remembered to take pics this time. ”

We had an issue with our main courses arriving before our apps which caught us off guard, but our server, Olivia, handled it like a champ. She was kind and courteous, and offered a quick solution. Her manager popped by too - super nice. These things happen and we were not upset at all. They remedied simply and quickly. The food was also fantastic - great presentation and flavour. We enjoyed the salmon (which they made GF for my wife), and Shrimp and Truffle Rigatoni. We will be back! ”

The sushi was fresh, with each piece a delight. The ramen soup had a rich, comforting broth, and the chicken salad bowl was fresh and satisfying with a perfect balance of flavors. The cheeseburger was juicy and delicious, and the cheesecake was a great way to end the meal—rich and creamy. I also tried the Kona beer, which was refreshing, and the house beer was a standout with a unique, smooth taste. Overall, I can’t wait to return! ”

  • “ We went to this location yesterday and I took some friends of mine who have never been there and I was ranting and raving about how good this restaurant is. This was my first time at this location and unfortunately our server was an absolute nightmare. She had an attitude and was very snippy and just looked like she didn't want to be there. The food was good as usual except we did have a dish that had a long blonde hair in it and it was the chicken fingers and the hair wasn't on top. It was baked into it. Unfortunately, I don't think that I will ever go back to this location as the service was very disappointing and a complete turn off. The bang bang shrimp was absolutely amazing though ”

From the moment I arrived early with balloons and seating cards, Josette and Kristen went above and beyond setting everything up perfectly and taking care of every detail without me having to ask twice. They made sure the tables were set beautifully, the balloons were placed thoughtfully, and our seating plan was handled with care. Our server, Carly, was outstanding. She managed our group of 20 with such ease, making sure the wine was served exactly how we requested and that everyone felt taken care of. The level of service we received from start to finish was exceptional, it honestly felt like they treated us like family. They even kept our cake in the freezer and brought it out just in time for the celebration. Every single guest commented on how great the service and atmosphere were. It’s rare these days to find such genuine care and attention to detail, and I had to take a moment to write this review because they truly made the night special for us and my wife was extremely happy! Thank you again, Josette, Kristen, and Carly you made a milestone celebration even more memorable. ”

I don’t recall her name, shame on me, but she was also great asking a couple to move as I had reservations for that table and they were so great. All in all I highly recommend this place. And the bread pudding????? Oh my gosh is it delightful!! Just try it, trust me! ”

  • “ The food I have ordered which was the chicken enchiladas was indeed very delicious, and I would gladly order the meal again. The amount of spice added to the food was great so were the drinks. Both the service and atmosphere were amazing. First time coming to the restaurant our waitress was wonderful, very friendly, and well mannered. I might even considered coming back again. Yesterday my relative and I had a wonderful time entering the restaurant. However the dessert was a bit of a let down, which was the chocolate brownie, the ice-cream with the sauces added to it was fantastic. I loved how the dessert was a mixer of both hot and cold; but the brownie itself was not only unpleasant, but also hard to pick at as well. Also when the server handed us our utensils to eat the deserts with happened, to be dirty and not cleaned. ”
